Marina Park, Portishead

Portishead Dock had previously been a key site for off-loading Scandinavian timber that was destined for the match industry. A series of interconnected pocket parks and walks were designed around the new 450 berth marina, on the site of the old power station. The parks incorporated a variety of public art commissions that worked in tandem with the landscape to create a sense of place and provide resonances of the site’s previous use.
