Eco Park, Portishead

The challenge was to design an attractive 20 hectare community park that met the exacting requirements of the sustainable urban drainage system of the new residential development.

The park also needed to accommodate flood events from the Bristol Channel estuary, that lies on the other side of the coastal flood defence. The result is a popular local amenity that supports a broad range of users and a rich biodiversity habitat.
