Croome, Worcestershire
Croome is Capability Brown’s first major commission. Working closely with the owner, the 6th Earl of Coventry, he created one of the finest 18th century landscape park and houses. The park was nearly lost, but consolidated conservation efforts have meant that it has become a popular attraction.

The National Trust commissioned Matthew Wigan Associates to undertake a Landscape and Visual Appraisal of the routes and popular walks around the landscape. The results were to inform future planning of the estate, critically understanding the landscape and heritage impact on the park and its unique historic assets.
